FCR Racing 1/24
Back To My Roots
A new feature at Marion County Raceway, I will be writing a blog regarding my experience racing 1/24 FCR slot cars. This will be a re-learning for me, I have not driven anything but HO since the very early 70's. This blog will be a very candid recording of my experience and is not to be considered a guideline for those wanting to be competitive!

A two week hiatus from racing... a previous commitment kept us sidelined.
But today it was back to racing!!!
We are facing our next dilemma, do we add weight to improve handling and sacrifice speed? We will try different weight packages and see if we can find a happy medium. I'm going to put both trucks on a 29 tooth crown going forward.
Nathan tried out a Third Eye controller today and shaved almost 3 tenths of a second off of his qualifying time. Hmmm... I guess we have to make plans on replacing the turbo Parma controllers. Sigh...
I'm interested in the potential for performance gains with different guide flags. I'm going to replace the stock Parma flag with an alternative and see if I can determine any changes. Stay tuned...
To be continued...
